The Muscle Hill daughter Southwind Avanti was purchased as a yearling in Lexington 2015 and was put in training with Nancy and Marcus Johansson and showed early speed and great talent. She won her first babyrace in June at the Meadowlands in 1.14,4ak. As a two year old she took a record of 1.11,7ak at the 5/8 mile track The Meadows. At the end of her two year old season she moved into Anna and Anette Lorentzons barn where she had a great three year old season despite some infection issues. She finished third in her Hambo Oaks elim in 1.10,0aak and won the final of Helen Smith. She raced 14 times as a three year old and won 7 of these races.
Her dam Auvergne is a daughter by Triple Crown- Champion Windsong's Legacy who is becoming more and more succesful as a grandsire and broodmare sire. He is the sire of the succesful stallion Chapter Seven. Auvergne has also produced the Valley Victory Trot Winner, Southwind Avenger $355,067 and Southwind Angelica 1.10,6ak/$87,649.
Second dam Pine Nugget is a sister to Hambo Oaks winner Nan's Catch 1.11,3aak/$766,074, dam to one of the greatest racehorses ever, Moni Maker $5,589,624.
